I finally received my gorgeous package today of my FIXIT magazing subscription!

So much care went into the magazine, it's beautiful! I'll probably post a photo of it up.
So! This my entry, that actually appears in volume 2! (shamelessplug, pick up that issue !)

It's actually a bit too light in the book.. I did a fail job test printing at home because I hadn't even calibrated my new computer to my laser printer (which prints super dark anyhoo)
ANYWAY. I really had fun making this piece.
The original is only in pencil, all the color is done digitally. I really wanted to evoke this old style European feel to the story of Thumbelina. For whatever reason, her relationship with the bird really struck me as a child.

hey this reminds me of one of the obscure animated versions, not the disney one, where she is bffs with a sugar fairy!! i loved that one! this is sooooo cute! great job!!!
