I'm asking for a really huuuuge favor...
I am on my last semester for graphic design, and we're doing a senior portfolio. Something that I really really want to do though, is to illustrate for children's stories.


What I'm looking for:
I'm looking for a very short story, it can be about anything. Length preferably along the lines of a 10 page Dr. Seuss type story, though I am open to suggestions! Think like Paul + Ann Rand's childrens' stories.

Use and Rights:
I will be using it solely for my senior portfolio class AND ALSO for my personal portfolio for future job references. YOU WILL RETAIN ALL RIGHTS TO YOUR STORY. I will not reproduce or reuse it without your permission, and will also include your name everywhere I use it. This is solely for educational and promotional purposes. If this bothers you, then thanks for reading this far!
For security purposes, I will type up a written statement with this for our use. I can mail it to you handsigned if you wish.

What I will be doing with it:
I will be illustrating all the images and typesetting the story. For the most part I will probably not ask for much input on your behalf (just because this is meant for me to make decisions on).
I will not edit your story without your permission (unless I just lose contact with you [hope not] and I will state later that the story was edited by me etc.)

Final product:
If this does pull through, I'll definitely show you what I've done, and if you wish, mail you a copy of the work that I do. (There will be a hardcopy for my senior exhibition show)

Nothing crazy has happened, we're being given free reign to set up for senior portfolio and such. A tad scary in that department.

[In case you don't get it, words are basically the last thing people pay attention to, unless its one giant word.. in which case it acts as an image...]

I feel like sometimes I can disregard horrendous art if the storyline is good enough. hm.....



advertising yourself is tough work.



so sad about designers, that large companies think that logos are only worth a couple hundred... (yes, a couple hundred is not that much...)

I've completely forgotten how to draw normally.. so much animu has corrupted my brain. I spent 2 hours scribbling away on paper producing garbage~~~~~~~~~~~ OTL ;;

My roommate is being super cool and taking me to a figure drawing class tomorrow, so many something good will turn up. Or maybe i'll go into full system shock from the lack of non anime abilities.

I feel so much pressure right, trying to do too much at once! My dad is in this weird limbo of switching jobs, which is very difficult for him, considering he had been working at last job for over 37 years... now he has to do some new crap that requires tons and tons of English 8D . I have become his secretary/translator rofl.

To do list for myself:

1. Learn Quickbook to help dad D:
2. Buy Painter soon ... (omg 100$)
3. Finish keychains for AWA (Sena + Hiruma done, working on Haruhi and more) + more prints (poster size + 8.5 x 11)
4. WORK ON STARSHIPMOONHAWK YOU SLACKER OTL
5. Webby for citrus_love and me...
6. Perpetual commissions for kit 8D oh gaia. I hate gaia. but I love kit so... (and monies)
7. Any other random commissions that people may ask fer? (I'm.. sort.. of.. caught up?)
8. SCHOOL STARTS NEXT MONDAY OGAWD. >> homework due this Friday *sobsob*
9. Figure out a way to get parking permit.... cuz I fail hard and missed the deadline
10. Write letters to some people 8D
